Manage Extensible Dimension Members
Use the Dimensions Members page to create, edit, or delete an Extensible Dimension Member (EDM).

Before you can create an EDM, you must:

Create the EDT with which this EDM will be associated

To allow mapping of external ID, create a minimum of one data source Third-party systems that provide data to the system, including employee and device states, and data change events. Typical data sources are phone switches, PBXs, or LANs.
Procedure

From the Framework portal Home page or main UI access point for all WFO applications., point to Integration Management. Under Scorecards Sources, select Dimension Members.
The Dimension Members list is displayed.

In the left pane, under Extensible Dimension Types, click an EDT type to select it.
In the right pane, any existing EDMs associated with this EDT will be displayed.
The Dimensions Members page displays a series of columns with the following information for each EDM.

Name
EDT name.
Description
EDT description.
Mapped data sources
For all data sources, lists the name and, in parentheses, the external ID.
Active
Indicates whether the EDM is active.
Default
Indicates whether this is the default EDM created automatically when the EDT was created. The Default contains all data from inactive and deactivated EDMs.
Mapping Type
Indicates whether the mapping type is automatic or manual.

Your next action depends on whether you want to create or edit an EDT.
If you want to...

activate or deactivate all of the EDMs
click Activate All or Deactivate All.
create an EDM
click Create.
edit an EDM
do one of the following:

Double-click anywhere on the EDM row

Click the EDM row, and click Edit.
The Extensible Dimension Members form is displayed.
The following table describes the fields on the Dimension Members Details page.
Item
Description
Name
Unique name of the Extensible Dimension Member. This name will be displayed on the Scorecard when drilling down from a KPI to an EDM.
Description
Description of the EDM.
Active
When the Active box is checked, the EDM is active. If you deactivate the EDM by clearing the box, incoming data is no longer loaded or calculated for this EDM, and the EDM no longer appears on the goal setting page or the Scorecards filter. You can deactivate an EDM whether it contains data or not. Historical data is not deleted when you deactivate an EDM.

The external ID related to the data source. It is used by adapters loading source measure data in to the data warehouse. The ID must be unique within the EDM associated with a specific EDT. However, the same External ID can be used for an EDM associated with a different EDT.

Complete or update the form as needed.

Click Save.

When an EDM is deleted and goal settings are defined for it, the goal settings are deleted.
Procedure

From the Framework portal, point to Integration Management. Under Scorecards Sources, click Dimension Members.

In the left pane, under Extensible Dimension Types, click an EDT.
In the right pane, any existing EDMs associated with this EDT will be displayed.

Click anywhere on an Extensible Dimension Member row.

Click Delete.
