Inactivate a rule

You can inactivate a rule that was previously active.

Inactivating a rule is helpful before editing a rule. After inactivating the rule and making the required changes, you can then activate the rule again.

Procedure 

  1. Go to Request Management. From Request Anything, select Rules.

  2. From the rules list, hover over the rule you want to edit, and select the Inactivate icon.

While a rule is inactive, users cannot submit new requests, or edit existing requests associated with the rule. However, if the inactive rule has pending, non-expired requests, managers can still process those requests.
