Flex time settings
Flex time settings define options and set requirements in flex time requests submitted by employees in an organization.
Location
Go to Organization Management Module in WFO that allows administrators to set up different hierarchies to manage users from a single, unified, Web interface.. Under Request Management, select Settings. The settings are available when flex time is selected.

Allow makeup extensions in shift gaps |
Employees can make up flex time off during available gaps that occur during a scheduled shift. Available gaps include both shift/overtime gaps and custom shift gap activities. A custom gap activity Core component of both schedules and time records in Workforce Management (WFM). When an employee performs any kind of work, activities specify the scheduled work and capture employee adherence to their schedule. is an activity with the Allow Extensions field set to Yes, treat as a shift gap. (This field is located on the Activity Details page, under the Request Management Usage section.) |
Allow makeup extensions in adjustable breaks |
Employees can make up flex time off in adjustable breaks that occur during a scheduled shift. An adjustable break is an activity with the Allow Extensions field set to Yes, treat as an adjustable break. (This field is located on the Activity Details page, under the Request Management Usage section.) |
Allow makeup extensions on a non-working day |
When this setting is selected, employees can request to make-up flex time on a non-working day (on the request form under the Flex Make-up section). When a non-working day is selected, the following occurs:
If the request is approved, a custom shift is created for the employee using the selected activity, start time, and duration. This shift is added to the count of shifts for the employee. To ensure that make-up on a non-working day does not allow employees to get too many shifts, the following flex time validation rule can be used: Maximum consecutive working days allowed as per organization settings. |
Limit time off request to beginning of shift blocks |
An employee can only request flex time off at the beginning of each shift block. |
Allow consecutive flex time off requests |
Employees can make consecutive flex time off requests during a scheduled shift. |
