Request expiration rules

Request Management system rules set the expiration date based on the start date, end date, and submission date.

When a request has an expiration date in the past, the status changes to Expired. Requests with an Expired status are not displayed on the Employee Requests page when the All Active filter is used.

Time off requests (including advanced VTO and time off bidding)

When the start date and the end date for all choices occur in the past, then the expiration date is set to three months from the submission date.

When the start date for some choices is in the past and the end date for some choices is in the future, then the expiration date is set to three months from the end date of the last occurring choice.
When one of the choices starts in the next 48 hours, then the expiration date is set to three months from the last occurring end date of all choices.
When the start date and end date of all choices occur in the future, then the expiration date is set to the start date of the first occurring choice.

Shift Request & Change

When both the request start date and end date occur in the past, then the expiration date is set to three months from the submission date.

When the request start date is in the past and the end date is in the future, then the expiration date is set to three months from the end date.

When the shift Work period in WFM that has a definite length. or extension starts in the next 48 hours, then the expiration date is set to three months from the end of the request.

When both the request start date and end date occur in the future, then the expiration date is set to the start date.

Flex time requests

When all segments in the request occur in the past, then the expiration date is set to three months from the submission date.

When some segments in the request start in the past and some start in the future, then the expiration date is set to three months from the segment that ends on the last occurring date.

When one of the segments starts in the next 48 hours, then the expiration date is set to three months from the end date of the last occurring segment.

When all segments in the request occur in the future, then the expiration date is set to the start date of the first occurring segment.
