Creating Text Analytics data sources

You create two types of Text Analytics data sources: Text Store and Text Project Instance of the Speech and Text Analytics application that supports a different language or Line of Business (LOB)..

Text Store data source Third-party systems that provide data to the system, including employee and device states, and data change events. Typical data sources are phone switches, PBXs, or LANs.

The Text Store data source represents an isolated store of the Text projects' data that is assigned to a tenant. You create the Text Store data source under the scope of an organization which represents a tenant in the WFO system.

Text Project data source

The Text Project data source represents sets of interactions. You create a Text Project data source under the Text Store data source of the tenant. Create projects according to lines of business, language models, or any other factor that is logical to the domain of business. Text Projects are available only to the employees to whom they are assigned.

Before you begin

You must have at least one Text Store data source created before you can create a Text Project data source.

Procedure 

  1. In Integration Management > Data Sources >Settings, click Create Data Source.

  2. In the Data Source Type pop-up, from the Type drop-down list box, select Text Analytics.

  3. From the Switch/Sub Type list, select one of the following:

    • Text Project

    • Text Store

  4. Click Select.

  5. On the Data Source Settings page, complete the following:

    1. Name: Type a name for the new data source. For a Text Store, select a name to represent the tenant. For a Text Project, select a name such as "Customer Support" that represents the project. The name is added to the list of projects available in the Text Analytics Application.

    2. From the Organization list, select the company.

    3. In the Description field, enter additional information on the company.

    4. Leave the default Time Zone.

    5. For a Text Project: From the Data Source Parent list, select the Text Store data source (tenant) to associate with this project

  6. From the list of Associated Interaction Application Installations, select Interaction Applications.

  7. Click Save.

  8. Restart the I360 Transcription Repository Service Tomcat service.
