You can track all time records submitted for each employee on a specific date. Each completed time record indicates the start and end of shifts, the activities performed during the shifts, and the times they were performed.

Time entry, time record, and time interval overview

A time entry is a record of a specific event that an employee performed.

This data is derived from one of the following:

  • An automated integration with an ACD or CCaaS (Contact Center as a Service)

  • A record self-registered in My Time

  • Manually created by an approved user (or supervisor)

A time record is a collection Group of back-office Contributions from one or more employees connected to a single customer or account captured by DPA. Collections are used for analyzing and improving back-office efficiency and quality. of time entries that span the time between one discreet logon event and one discreet logoff event. Multiple time records can exist in one day, depending on the number of recorded logon and logoff events.

A time interval is an intentionally created collection of time entries that represent a time period requiring approval by a manager for payroll purposes. If a time interval is approved, it appears as approved in the output of the Time Record Export Adapter. The Time Record Export Adapter provides data to support the payroll process.

Time entry, time record, and time interval actions

You can do the following for one employee at a time on a selected date:

  • Approve all time records or a specific time record

  • Create or delete a time record

  • To determine how time for employees is charged when employees are not logged in to the system, create a time interval

  • Add, edit, or delete entries within a specific time record

    If the time entry you add is valid, it is automatically approved when you create it.

You can view the Day Details page in two views:

Only time records that started on the selected date are shown. Time records that ended on the selected date but started on a previous date are not shown on the selected date.
