Time-off pools overview
Time-off pools let you allocate how much time-off a group of employees can take for a specific time period. A time-off pool can have time-off allocations for a day, segments of a day, or both.
Time-off pools are created for an organization, and an organization can have multiple time-off pools. Hours in requests for time-off activities that deduct from a time-off pool affect the hours displayed on the Time-Off calendar.

When employees submit time-off requests, the requested time off is converted to their organization time zone and hours are deducted from the daily pool based on the organization time zone.
For example:
There is a time-off pool in an organization in the Eastern Standard Time Zone (EST).
Employee A has a preferred time zone of EST, the same as their organization. Employee A submits a time-off request for February 2, which is calculated as 8 hours (by default). The time-off pool reflects 8 hours pending on February 2, and the request is validated against that same day.
Employee B has a preferred time zone of Central Time Zone (CST), which is different than their organization (EST). Employee B submits a time-off request for February 2 (12:00 AM-12:00 PM). The request is converted to the organization time zone, which is February 1 at 11:00 PM to February 2 at 11:00 PM. The time-off pool reflects 1 hour on February 1 and 8 hours on February 2.
Interval allocations time-off pool
