Delete a reference schedule for one or more employees

When you have assigned a reference schedule to an employee and no longer want it to be used, you can delete it. Afterward, the daily and weekly time off defaults are used to calculate time-off hours.

Resolving errors

Reference schedules cannot be deleted when any selected employee has pending or approved requests for an unpublished period that uses an interval allocations time off pool Group of employees in WFM to which time off is allocated.. When this issue occurs, an error message provides the name of the employee and one request choice or calendar event Scheduled event in WFM that is manually created on the schedule, can be a single instance or recurring event, and can have one or multiple attendees. Examples of calendar events are meetings or training sessions. that uses the reference schedule.

Your administrator can use the information in the error message to identify the activity Core component of both schedules and time records in Workforce Management (WFM). When an employee performs any kind of work, activities specify the scheduled work and capture employee adherence to their schedule. that is preventing the removal of the reference schedule assignment. Then, the administrator can temporarily change the time off activity to use a daily time off pool.

Example: Multiple employees selected

If five employees are selected and two employees have references schedules that cannot be deleted, the reference schedule is not deleted for any of the employees. The error message provides information about the two employees. When there are no errors for any of the selected employees, the reference schedule assignment can be deleted.

Before you begin 

Add a reference schedule for one or more employees

Procedure 

  1. Go to User Management Module that an administrator uses to create a profile for each employee in their organization.. Under Employees, select Time Off.

  2. In the selection and filter panel on the left, select one or more employees.

  3. In the workspace Area within an application window where the user interacts with the program., under the Reference Schedule section, select the trash can icon.

  4. Select Save.
