Turn on time off waitlists

Waitlisting is an optional, system-wide feature for time off requests. The waitlisting auto processing rule that you create during setup determines if a request is automatically put on the waitlist. If hours are added to the time off pool Group of employees in WFM to which time off is allocated. later, the waitlisted requests are processed and may be approved. Hours are added to a pool when various events occur such as withdrawal of requests or deletion of a Special Day of Time Off Not Allowed.

A request is automatically put on the waitlist when it meets both of the following conditions:

  • The request was submitted with the optional Waitlist if applicable check box selected.
  • The request would be approved if the requested hours were available in the time off pool. That is, the request must pass all required validation rules except for the following rules:
    • Time Off Pools has available time off hours (when selected during setup)
    • Request avoids days where time off is not allowed. (when selected during setup)

Procedure 

  1. Go to Organization Management Module in WFO that allows administrators to set up different hierarchies to manage users from a single, unified, Web interface.. Under Request Management, select Settings.
  2. From the left pane, select the company. When a suborganization is selected, the setting is not available.
  3. Under Global Level Settings, select Enable time off waitlists. If you selected a suborganization, the setting is not available.
  4. Click Save
