Set up time off waitlists

A waitlist is an optional feature for time off requests, and must be set up for each organization.

Whether you set up waitlists as part of the initial set up of time off requests or do it later, use this procedure to know what you need to do in settings, validation rules, auto processing rules, and time off pools.

Before you begin 

Turn on time off waitlists

Procedure 

  1. Go to Organization Management Module in WFO that allows administrators to set up different hierarchies to manage users from a single, unified, Web interface.. Under Request Management, select Settings.

  2. From the left pane, select an organization.

  3. Optional: When defining Time Off settings, under Time Off Request Options, select the option Include waitlist in time off pool Group of employees in WFM to which time off is allocated. validation.

  4. When defining Time Off validation rules, select one or both of the following rules:

    • Time Off Pools has available time off hours

    • Request avoids days where time off is not allowed.

  5. When creating Auto Processing rules, create a rule for waitlisting.

  6. When creating time off pools, do the following:

    1. Select Enable waitlists.

    2. Optional: Select Enable autoscan of waitlisted requests.

    3. Optional: Under Waitlist sort priorities, change the default and add more sort priorities.

  7. If needed, repeat this procedure for other organizations.
