Copy and paste examples

There are different scenarios for copying and pasting entire schedules. These scenarios differ, depending on the schedule you are copying, and the existing schedules on the target dates.

Example: Copy and paste for the same employee

John has the following shifts:

  • Monday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

  • Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

John is not scheduled for any shifts on Wednesday and Thursday.

To Do:

To meet the minimum paid hours, copy the Monday shift Work period in WFM that has a definite length. to Wednesday and Thursday of the same week.

Example: Copy and paste for a different employee

David's schedule:

  • Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday: Shift from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Nick's schedule:

  • Monday: Time off event from 10:00 AM to noon

  • Tuesday: Calendar event from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM

  • Wednesday: Unavailability event from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM

  • Thursday: Class from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

To Do:

  • Copy David's Monday shift to Nick's schedule for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Results:

Example: Copy and paste for multiple employees

Paul's schedule:

  • Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday: Shift from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Lucy, Sharon, and Jills' schedules:

  • Lucy and Sharon do not have shifts on Monday and Tuesday.

  • Jill does have a shift on Monday and Tuesday.

To Do:

  • Copy Paul's Thursday shift to Lucy's, Sharon's and Jill's schedules for Monday and Tuesday.

  • Results:

  • Paul's shift is copied successfully to Lucy and Sharon's schedules.

  • Since Jill already has a shift scheduled on that day, the system considers this a soft conflict and prompts you to confirm the paste.
