Configure dashboard widget/portlet content

A dashboard Suite-wide unified dashboard that provides a single, quick view of valuable information across multiple applications. widget Visual building block in an application that is interchangeable, depending on system or user configurations. contains a discrete set of information from a designated source in the system. For example, the widgets are provided for source systems such as Workforce Management, Customer Feedback Product in the system that provides a highly reliable, scalable and flexible voice and Web/email system for conducting intelligent and dynamic postcall and post contact surveys., Speech Analytics Product that analyzes ongoing changes in customer behavior through spoken interactions with the customer, and drives effective organizational changes needed to address challenging market conditions., Scorecards Product that assists agents, supervisors and all contact center employees to focus on critical aspects of their performance and identify opportunities for improvement., and many others.

You can configure each widget with the specific information you want to see from the associated source system.

Dashboard widgets that host reports are designed to run reports that can run relatively quickly and produce an amount of data that can fit within the widget. The parameters you set for a report determine the length of time the report runs and the amount of data returned for the report. You should make sure that the parameters you specify for a report are such that the report will run relatively quickly and return an amount of data that can be displayed in the widget (considering the amount of space available in a widget).

Before you begin 

Add a dashboard

Procedure 

  1. Select Dashboards under My Information on the My Home menu.

  2. From the dashboard selector list, select a dashboard.

  3. To change the settings of a widget, inside the widget, click and select Configure.

  4. Edit the settings.

    To configure some, but not all, parameters for User Preference, include the Employee Filter parameter when it is available. If shared dashboard users are allowed to configure some parameters, but are not allowed to configure the employee filter, they cannot save the configuration.

  5. Click Save.
